The major retailer has been unable to process online orders after click-and-collect orders and contactless payments were affected by the cyber attack.
The Metropolitan Police have now confirmed they are investigating the attack.

As a result of the cyber attack, M&S paused all online and app orders last Friday (April 25).

On Monday (April 28), it also told agency staff at its Castle Donington clothing and homewares logistics centre to stay home due to the continued disruption.
Now, some M&S stores have been left with empty shelves as the fallout from the cyber attack continues.
The retailer said it has “pockets of limited availability” in some of its shops and is “working hard” to get availability back to normal.

“As a result, we currently have pockets of limited availability in some stores.
“We are working hard to get availability back to normal across the estate.”

It is understood that some packaged food deliveries from M&S to online grocery partner Ocado have also been affected.
Shoppers report Percy Pigs shortage in M&S stores
It appears one of M&S’ most popular sweets has been affected by this stock shortage, with shoppers reporting being unable to buy Percy Pigs.
