The company has included Hampstead, Angel and Barnet in its list of targeted locations for expansion.
This comes as part of a half a billion pound investment plan to open more than 40 new stores across the UK this financial year.
The move is in response to increasing demand for convenient access to Lidl stores.
Richard Taylor, chief development officer at Lidl GB, said: “This level of investment is a clear sign of our ambition.
“As we enter our fourth decade in Great Britain and hurtle towards a thousand stores, there are still so many parts of the country crying out for convenient access to a Lidl store.”

He added: “Our latest site requirements brochure reinforces the scale of our ambition for the future.
“New Lidl stores mean new jobs, new opportunities for British suppliers, and continued investment into local economies.”
The new stores are among more than 40 expected to open this year, with locations already confirmed including Walworth Road, Swanley, and Abbots Langley.
Lidl is also expanding its Belvedere Regional Distribution Centre, which has more than doubled in size, and plans to start construction on a new distribution centre in Leeds.
