The tiny Camden Town boozer was a favourite of the late Back to Black singer, who felt so at home there she would would often serve the drinks.
Chaos once again descended on the legendary pub last week when singer songwriter Dominic Harrison – aka Yungblud – put in a shift behind the bar.
The singer put in a shift behind the bar at the packed pub to celebrate the release of his latest single. (Image: Tom Pallant) The 27-year-old was celebrating the launch of his new single Lovesick Lullaby by pouring pints all evening – recreating a scene from the track’s music video, which was shot at the pub.
The video directed by Charlie Sarsfield, features Yungblud cruising around London in a black Mini Cooper, clad in Burberry and Tom Ford, before living it up at a packed out Hawley Arms.
The Doncaster-born singer saw his last two albums hit Number 1 in the UK and break into the Billboard Hot 100, while notching up more than 6 billion streams globally.
Yungblud previously threw a free street party in Camden Market to announce the first of his own music festivals. (Image: Tom Pallant) Yungblud’s music fuses rock, punk and pop and he said of his latest single: “Making this song was a f*cking party and you can hear that on the recording.
“[I tried to] let my subconscious do a lot of the talking and then make sense of my words the following afternoon in a kitchen, hungover, eating fish and chips with a cup of tea.
“I’ve been on a journey trying to find meaning in different places all over the world, for which I am forever grateful, but it felt as though my feet left the ground a little too much and I had to bring myself back… to British music, to British art and culture.”
He clearly has a love for Camden Town as last year he chose Camden Market to throw a free street party and announce his very own music festival, Bludfest.
This year the festival takes place on June 21 at Milton Keynes Bowl.
