Romford’s Mercury Shopping Centre breakfast club members visited the prenatal and postnatal wards at Queen’s Hospital with their very special delivery, as well as looking in at the baby bereavement department.
They met the staff who provide care and support during both joyous and challenging times.

“We understand how important it is to offer comfort to families experiencing new beginnings or heartbreaking losses,” one club member said. “We hope these items bring compassion to those who need it.”
Club members were welcomed by the hospital’s charity for their handmade gifts whose kindness the charity said “makes a real difference”.
The Mercury’s breakfast club is open to anyone, meeting every Monday 10am to noon at Café Della Continental, for those who like to knit or natter or simply just pop in on the day to enjoy the company.
