Police have become increasingly concerned for patient Aiden, who went on unescorted leave from Springfield University Hospital in Tooting.
The 34-year-old was last seen by staff just before 2.30pm on Tuesday (April 22).
Aiden was wearing a black and brown hooded tracksuit with grey boots.
He is 6 foot 6 inches and of slim build, and may also be wearing a distinctively patterned multi-coloured hat.
Police believe there was a sighting of Aiden in the Sutton and Cheam area yesterday (April 25).
He is also known to spend time around the South Bank area.
Police have warned anyone who sees Aiden not to approach him but to call 101, quoting the reference 7626/22 Apr.
Detective Constable Samuel Chell, leading this investigation, said: “We are increasingly concerned about the whereabouts of Aiden, who went on unescorted leave from Springfield University Hospital in Tooting but failed to return.
“He was last seen by staff at the hospital at 14:23hrs on Tuesday, 22 April.
“We’re appealing the public to please look out for him and help us find him.
“He was wearing a black and brown hooded tracksuit with grey boots and may be wearing a distinctively patterned multi-coloured hat. He is 6ft 6ins, of slim build.
“We believe there was a sighting of Aiden yesterday in the Sutton and Cheam area, though he is known to spend time around the Southbank area.
“If you see Aiden, do not to approach him, instead call police on 101 as soon as possible quoting the reference 7628/22Apr.”
