Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called at 12.20pm on March 1 with reports of concerns for the welfare of a man at junction 25 of the motorway.
They attended with the support of their emergency service colleagues, including London’s Air Ambulance.
The charity is known only for helping respond to incidents involving London’s most seriously ill patients.
The man was seen to fall and died at the scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
The M25 was closed between J23 in South Mimms and J25 for Waltham Cross for around three hours.
A Met spokesperson said: “Police were called at 12:10hrs on Saturday, 1 March following concerns for the welfare of a man on the M25 at Junction 25.

“Emergency services attended. The man was seen to fall. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man sadly died at the scene.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
