Yesterday (May 1), voters across Dartford cast their ballots to elect their new county councillors.
Alan Stanley Cecil emerged as the winner following today’s (May 2) count, replacing Jan Avtar Sandhu, who had previously represented the division as a Conservative candidate.
The total vote tally for Wilmington reached 4,261, with Cecil securing 1,946 of those votes.
Verification of the ballots started at 10am today, with the counting process officially commencing around 11.30am at Dartford Civic Centre.
Polling stations were open from 7am to 10pm yesterday.
As a result of this victory, Reform UK has taken the seat from the Conservative Party.
