Greggs has submitted two planning applications for Unit 1, Pavillion 3, at The Brewery shopping centre – formerly Patisserie Valerie.
One application is for the installation of four new illuminated signs, while the other proposes changes inside the store, including to the air conditioning system.
The planning documents reveal that one of the signs would sit above the main entrance doors of the new branch, while the other three would be located on the sides and back of the building.

Also proposed is a new cover for an air vent in the staff and customer toilet.
Under the plans, the existing shopfront and swing entrance doors would be kept the same, as would the air conditioning condensers.
Havering Council is expected to make a decision on the application by June 6.
If the plans are approved, this would be the third Greggs in Romford town centre, joining the South Street and Quadrant Arcade branches.
Patisserie Valerie closed its branch at The Brewery at the end of March.
Greggs and The Brewery declined to comment at this stage of the planning process.
