The Times Educational Supplement (TES) School Awards 2025 recognise the best teachers and schools from UK state and independent schools from nursery to secondary schools.
The schools shortlisted have the chance to gain national recognition for their hard work and successes during the 2023/24 academic year.
The 23 categories for the awards are extensive and cover every area of school life.
They include the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Setting of the Year, Excellence in Creative Arts, Inclusive School of the Year, and Specialist Provision School Leader of the Year, among others.
Among the nominees across Camden, Haringey and Barnet are two state school headteachers who will go head to head for the national award.
Gary Moore, headteacher of Regent High School, in Charlton Street, Camden, will compete for state school Headteacher of the Year with Chris Hunt, head of Whitefield School, in Claremont Road, Brent Cross.
Similarly, two north London schools will battle it out for the Best Use of Technology Award.
They are Francis Holland School Regent’s Park, in Ivor Place, Camden, and Heartlands High School, in Station Road, Wood Green.
Archer Academy, in Eagans Close, East Finchley, is in the running to win Staff Wellbeing School of the Year.
The Harris Federation, which runs 56 schools across London including The Harris Academy St John’s Wood, Harris Lowe Academy in Willesden, The Harris Academy Tottenham and Harris Primary Academy in South Kenton, is in the running for the Trust of the Year with ten schools or more.
The winners of the Tes Schools Awards 2025 will be announced on Friday, June 20, during a gala ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, in Park Lane.
