Following a spike in popularity, the restaurant announced it would be serving walk-in customers only for the time being.
In a statement shared via social media and reported by the Daily Mail, Bombay Pizza said: “We’re currently experiencing an incredible surge in demand and are truly grateful for everyone’s enthusiasm.
“To ensure we maintain the quality of our service, we’re temporarily accepting in-person orders only at our restaurant.
“We’re receiving a high volume of emails and calls, so please bear with us if there’s a delay in our response.
“Our small team is working hard to get back to everyone as quickly as possible.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this exciting time.
“Once things settle down, we’ll resume normal service – and we can’t wait to see you again soon.”
The surge in interest follows Khan’s breakout role on The Apprentice, where her bold concept – combining the convenience of takeaway pizza with the deep flavours of Indian cuisine – earned both public acclaim and critical recognition from the show’s judges.
Despite finishing second to air conditioning entrepreneur Dean Franklin, Khan’s performance drew admiration from Lord Sugar, who praised her food after tasting it in the final challenge: “Oh blimey, yes, this is very good.”
Pizza industry insider Thom Elliot called her business model “really unique” and a “massive plus in a crowded market,” while Baroness Brady reflected on her potential, saying: “Anisa… she has a business. It’s tiny but you’re really investing in her.”
