Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called at around 1.30pm on April 30 with reports of a colleague being injured while responding to an alleged vehicle theft.
At the scene, the injured officer was located before being taken to hospital with injuries to his spinal cord.

His condition has now been confirmed as non-life threatening and non-life changing and he has been discharged.
At around 7.50pm on the day of the incident, police arrested a 41-year-old man in Erith on suspicion of attempted murder.
He remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.
