The incident happened on the A2 westbound near the M25 junction J2 at around 3.15pm yesterday (April 19).
Officers, Kent Fire and Rescue and South East Coast Ambulance crews were called to the scene.
The road was temporarily closed whilst crews managed the scene and isolated an overturned car.
Five people were handed into the care of paramedics, however, their conditions are unknown at this stage.
All three lanes of the A2 were closed with motorists caught within the closure being turned around from the back of the queue.
The road had fully reopened at around 5.30pm.

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to reports of a crash involving four vehicles on the A2 London-bound, just before the M25 turnoff.
“Three fire engines attended, and the road was temporarily closed whilst crews managed the scene and isolated one of the hybrid vehicles that was involved.
“Five people were handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.”
