A planning application has been submitted to Greenwich Council to build a mixed-use development at the east ventilation shaft of Woolwich Elizabeth Line station, in Arsenal Way.
The proposal by Berkeley Homes includes four buildings surrounding a central landscaped podium.
This would comprise residential dwellings, shops, and offices.
The plan would also see the existing sub-station and wall demolished.
A new sub-station, as well as cycle and car parking, would be built.
The plans also include access, servicing, highway and public realm works, and landscaping.
If given the green light, the project would transform the space near the station, bringing new homes, businesses, and amenities to the area.
According to the planning notice, any owner or tenant of the land who wishes to make representations about this application should write to the Royal Borough of Greenwich within 21 days of the notice.
This notice was published on August 27.
This means any representations should be made by September 17.
The notice was signed by Pete Tanner on behalf of Stantec UK Ltd, representing the applicant Berkeley Homes.
The statement of owners’ rights within the planning notice reads: “The grant of planning permission does not affect owners’ rights to retain or dispose of their property, unless there is some provision to the contrary in an agreement or lease.”
The statement of agricultural tenants’ rights reads: “The grant of planning permission for non-agricultural development may affect agricultural tenants’ security of tenure.”
