Woodford Green Primary School in Sunset Avenue was visited by the education watchdog in June and the findings were published on July 9.
The school was labelled ‘outstanding’ in all five categories of assessment: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and early years provision.
The report described the school as “nurturing and inclusive” and found pupils and staff to be “happy and very proud” to be part of the community.
Inspectors found that the school has “high expectations” for all pupils and has an “aspirational and well-constructed curriculum which is skilfully delivered across the school”.

The curriculum for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), was found to be ambitious and often exceeding what is expected nationally.
Inspectors also noted the development of rich language skills to be a strength of the school, with staff guiding this development from the moment pupils enter the school.
Children in nursery learn to describe the features of the ‘mini beasts’ they find in the garden.
According to the report, by year two pupils use sentence stems to help them discuss characters in books and to highlight evidence from the text and by year five, pupils can confidently discuss the features of the artist Monet’s work.
Inspectors said pupils’ behaviour here is exemplary (Image: Woodford Green Primary School) As well as good academic findings, the report details “exemplary” behaviour from pupils.
It said: “Pupils enjoy coming to school and they treat each other and staff in a friendly and respectful way.
“They behave in an exemplary fashion because the school’s high expectations for behaviour are clearly communicated and consistently applied.
“Pupils appreciate the rewards they receive which encourage good behaviour, including regularly attending school and on the rare occasions when pupils do not meet the school’s high expectations for behaviour, staff swiftly intervene to help pupils to improve.”
Executive principal Jason Cook said: “We are very proud of our achievement.
“Woodford Green Primary is part of Arbor Academy Trust, a group of ‘outstanding’ schools.
“This tremendous achievement reflects the hard work, dedication and partnership of our staff, pupils and families.”
