The Metropolitan Police was called at 6.13pm on September 5 with reports of an incident on Willow Parade, Moor Lane.
Officers were dispatched to the scene where it was alleged that a man armed with a knife had stolen roughly £300 from the newsagent’s till.
No injuries were reported in connection to the incident.
There have been no arrests at this stage and enquiries continue.
A Met spokesperson said: “Police were called at 18:13hrs on Friday, 5 September following reports of an aggravated robbery in Cranham, Upminster.

“Officers attended the newsagents on Willow Parade, Moor Lane, where it’s alleged a man armed with a knife stole around £300 in cash from the till.”
