The 32-inch tablet on wheels at Lawnfield House care home in Willesden is loaded with apps for games and quizzes as well as YouTube, Facebook and Zoom.
“It was a nice surprise when it arrived,” the home’s activity co-ordinator Carmel Collins said.
“The tablet caught the attention in the home and everyone was intrigued and took to it really well — although some mistake it for a television and keep asking for the remote!”
It is one of several interactive tablets on wheels brought in by MHA group, which runs Lawnfield House care home in Coverdale Road, off Willesden High Road.
The tablets are designed to be easy to move around the homes. The team at Tiny Tablet, an organisation that builds and supplies interactive touch tables for care homes, education and business meetings, gives demos on how to use them with some apps to be getting on with.
