Epping Forest District Council’s Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, and Team of the Year awards are held each year to recognise individuals and teams making a significant impact on their communities.
Prizes could be given to dedicated volunteers, supportive neighbours, and groups managing local initiatives.
But time is running out for nominations for the 2026 Citizen of the Year awards, which can be made until Friday, November 28, 2025.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for March 2026 at the Delta by Marriott Hotel, Waltham Abbey.
The event is sponsored by Manny Singh from Regus Epping, in partnership with the Qualis Group and Delta by Marriott Hotel.
Alongside these awards, the council is also inviting applications for the Creativity Award and the Active Epping Forest Sports Award.
The Creativity Award will celebrate individuals or groups passionate about heritage or the arts, while the Active Epping Forest Sports Award will support a young person in advancing their talent.
Applications for these awards are open until midnight on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
Residents are encouraged to take part in the nomination process to ensure deserving members of the community are acknowledged for their efforts.
Further information and the nomination form can be found at Epping Forest District Council’s website at eppingforestdc.gov.uk/citizen-of-the-year-2026/
