Series four of The Traitors kicked off on New Year’s Day (Thursday, January 1), with 22 new contestants entering Ardross Castle in Scotland.
Stephen and Rachel were previously revealed (to viewers) as this year’s traditional Traitors.
But in a series first, host Claudia Winkelman also selected a ‘secret’ Traitor, dressed in a red cloak, whose identity has remained a mystery…until now.
Who is the ‘secret’ Traitor?
Saturday’s (January 3) episode of The Traitors saw Stephen and Rachel successfully complete a challenge, which allowed them the opportunity to unmask the ‘secret’ Traitor.
The reveal happened at the start of Wednesday’s episode as Fiona, from Swansea, lifted the hood of her red cloak to reveal her identity.
She then turned to Rachel and Stephen and said: “I was wonderful, wasn’t I?”
Stephen praised her as playing “a very, very good game”, while Rachel said that Fiona makes her nervous and said she thinks she will “ruffle some feathers” in her role.
But the ‘secret’ Traitor didn’t seem to come as much of a surprise to viewers, who posted online stating how “obvious” the reveal was.
One person, posting on Reddit group r/TheTraitorsUK, said: “I’m hopeless at this game. I’m always 1 step behind everyone else.
“I’ll read popular theories on Reddit that would never have occured to me in a million years. Even I sussed it was Fiona.”
Another added: “It actually annoyed me at how obvious it was.”
While a third person commented: “I’m actually so annoyed about it! They made it so obviously Fiona that I was like nah can’t be her, must be Jessie.
“I was hoping they’d make it a bit harder rather than the most obvious person in the game.”

Other fans were annoyed at how early the identity of the ‘secret’ Traitor was revealed.
This viewer wrote: “Really confused why revealed the identity of the secret traitor already. Now it’s just like any other series!”
Who was banished from The Traitors last night?
Wednesday night’s episode of The Traitors also saw 37-year-old Ross banished from the show, following a tense debate during an early roundtable.
During his exit speech, he revealed he was a faithful, shocking his fellow players.
Meanwhile, four players are vulnerable to the next murder after they failed to win protection from the traitors’ next kill. These players are:
Secret relationship revealed
Following Ross’s departure, psychologist Ellie revealed she was his girlfriend, adding: “What I’ve got to do now is avenge his death.”
The 33-year-old has not yet disclosed her identity to the other contestants.
The revelation follows online speculation about the pair’s relationship, after it was reported that they both posted holiday snaps from the same location in Tenerife since filming ended in May.
Following his departure from The Traitors, Ross was asked about how hard it was to hide his relationship with Ellie while on the show.
He said: “Hiding the relationship with Ellie was the easiest thing ever.
“Any time we had an interaction, I was happy to see her because I was under pressure the whole time, so Ellie was my safe space in the game.
“However, I thought she was a Traitor, because every time we had a moment together, she would not speak to me.
“I’m very proud of her though and I’m glad she’s still in there holding it down for the household.”
It was also previously revealed that Ross was an old friend of fellow contestant Netty.
