Whitchurch Road, Harold Hill fight: Four people arrested

Police were called to Whitchurch Road, in Harold Hill, just after 11.30am on Saturday (June 28) after reports of an “altercation”. 

Once at the scene, officers found two women – one in her 30s and one in her 50s – with injuries.

The women were taken to hospital, but their injuries are “not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing”, according to a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police.

Four people were also arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and affray: a man in his 60s, a man in his 30s, and two women in their 30s.

Whitchurch Road was closed after the incident, but has since reopened.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said this is believed to be “an isolated incident”.

The spokesperson said: “Police were called at 11:32hrs on Saturday, 28 June to Whitchurch Road, Romford to reports of an altercation. 

“Officers attended and two women, aged in their 50s and 30s, were taken to hospital.

“Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

“Four people, a man in his 60s, a man in his 30s and two women in their 30s, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and affray.”

Police urged anyone with information to contact them by calling 101, quoting CAD 3191/28JUNE.
