The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has published its most recent data set for test centres across the country showing where learners have the best (and worst) chance of passing.
The data shows test results between October 2024 and March 2025.
These statistics include test categories B and B1.
According to the data, Hornchurch driving test centre in Station Lane had the highest pass rate in east London with 47.95 per cent of test takers being successful in this timeframe.
December was the most successful month here with 51.8% of test takers passing – the only month that registered higher than a 50% pass rate in east London.
Male drivers averaged a 49.1% pass rate in Hornchurch, while females registered a 46.3% pass rate.
The east London test centre with the next highest pass average was Goodmayes test centre in Goodmayes Road with a 43.3% pass rate.
Again, December was the most successful month here with 46.6% of drivers passing their tests.
On average, 46.9% of males passed their tests here whilst 39.3% of females passed in the same timeframe.
The next highest pass rate was seen at Wanstead test centre in Hermon Hill.
On average, 40% of drivers passed their tests here with January being the most successful month as 43% of people passed.
Male pass rates were at 42% from October until March with female pass rates at 36.7%.
Barking test centre in Tanner Street was next in the list, with 37.5% of test takers being successful.
On average, 39.6% of males passed their tests here, while 34.4% of females passed their tests here.
January was again the month with the highest average pass rate – 40.9%.
According to the data, the east London test centre with the lowest pass rate from October last year until March this year was in Station Road, Chingford.
On average, 37.18% of test takers passed at this centre, with 38.6% of males passing and 34.9% of females passing.
December was the month with the highest pass rate in Chingford, with an average of 38.8% of drivers being successful.
