Each east London borough saw a fall in the total number of reports made from the previous month.
The figures show the boroughs following the same pattern of most-to-least reported crimes in January this year, with Newham leading the way by a substantial margin.
Newham had the third highest crime record of all London boroughs in February and the most in east London with 3,109 offences reported across the month.
This was down from 3,231 in January although the three top contributors remained the same: theft, violence against the person and drug offences, although only drug offences saw an increase in reports from the previous month.
These three categories made up 66.3 per cent of all of Newham’s crimes in February whilst theft alone made up 35.5pc.
The borough with the next most reported crime was Tower Hamlets with 2,424 offences.
This was also a fall from January with 275 fewer crimes being reported in February.
Again, violence against the person, theft and drug offences were the three most recurring categories of crimes and made up 67.2pc of all reports.
Despite the overall drop in crime rate from the previous month, Tower Hamlets still saw fractional rises in the number of reports of sexual offences and robbery.
Redbridge was third in the rankings with 1,776 crimes reported last month and a decrease of 159 from January.
Violence against the person remained the most regular offence category from the previous month with 544 reports made whilst theft, vehicle offences and drug offences followed respectively.
Of these categories, only theft grew in the number of reports from January.
With only nine fewer reports than Redbridge, Waltham Forest was next in the rankings with 1,767 February offences reported.
The trend of falling numbers continued as Waltham Forest also registered a lower number of crimes than in January.
Although the overall figure dropped from 1,859, the highest categories remained consistent with theft, violence against the person, vehicle offences and drug offences leading the way.
Violence against the person was the only of these to rise from January – 34 more reports were made in February.
Barking and Dagenham remained as the east London borough with the second lowest crime rate with 1,363 – down from 1,546 in January.
Violence against the person was the top contributor here, although down by 12.5pc from the previous month.
Theft, vehicle offences, drug offences and burglary also registered a lower number of reports.
However, there was a 39pc rise in sexual offences and a 109.5pc increase in robbery from the previous month.
Havering was again the safest east London borough in February according to the data with 1,356 offences reported across the month.
A total of 27.6pc of these were for violence against the person (which was down by 22.7pc from January) whilst 25.4pc were for theft.
Vehicle offences and arson and criminal damage figures saw a rise of 10.4pc and 22.9pc respectively whilst drug offences, public order offences and robberies were amongst the categories that decreased in reported numbers.
