As of today (January 5) Wennington Road and Brookway will be closed to traffic for Essex & Suffolk water works.
It is understood that both roads have been closed since 8am this morning, with the nature of the works believed to be linked to water connection.
Road users have been warned of “likely delays” in Wennington Road, with “possible delays” on Brookway until the completion of the works, which is expected in more than a week’s time.
Both roads will reopen after 11.59pm on January 16.
The 372 bus service has been placed on a diversion in both directions until 7pm on January 16.
Buses will be diverted along Broadway and A1306 New Road, and stops from Ferro Road to Wennington Hall Farm towards Lakeside will not be served.
Services towards Hornchurch will not be stopping at stands from Wennington Hall Farm to Rainham Station stop ‘A’.
