Earlier this week, the branch on Wandsworth Road, which is owned and operated by franchisee Claude Abi-Gerges, reopened after a ‘Convenience of the Future’ redesign.
McDonald’s is updating its restaurants with new layouts and modern technology with the aim of making the experience smoother and more enjoyable.
The crew room has been redesigned to give staff a more comfortable and relaxing space to take a break.
McDonald’s is redesigning its kitchens and dining areas to better support digital orders and app use, while keeping walk-in and Drive Thru options central.
The changes include removing the front counter and creating separate zones for different order types, aiming to speed up service and free up space for customers eating in.
Claude Abi-Gerges, who owns and operates 37 McDonald’s restaurants in London, said: “I’m proud to reinvest in our Wandsworth Drive Thru restaurant.
“The dining area is more contemporary, and we now have separate facilities for our dine-in customers and our couriers, leading to a better experience for everyone.
“It’s exciting to see the fresh new look of the restaurant, and I’m confident the changes will not only benefit our customers but also our restaurant team as these will help make their jobs a little easier.”
