Three months later his death remains unexplained, with independent charity Crimestoppers offering a £20,000 reward in exchange for information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of the person or people responsible for Derrick’s murder.
Detectives believe the 56-year-old was socialising with friends at an address on Warrior Square, E12 the day before his death.
Det Sgt Wes Hawkins said: “While progress has been made, we still need those who may have seen or heard something to come forward.
“Walton Road is a busy street, and we believe someone out there holds a vital piece of the puzzle.
“No detail is too small — even the slightest detail could be the breakthrough we need to identify Derrick’s killer.
