The first Mad Hatter’s Dog Day will be held on Saturday, September 20 at Elmtree Canine Retreat’s three-acre site in Sewardstone Road, Waltham Abbey.
The family-friendly event will run from 12pm to 5pm and will feature a dog show, a hat parade, and various dog demonstrations such as agility and scent work.
There will also be a family zone with crafts and a bouncy castle.
The event is organised by Haute Dogs, Underdog International, and Elmtree Canine Retreat, with all proceeds going directly to the charity.
Founder of Underdog International, Nadine Kayser, said: “Mad Hatter’s Dog Day is about bringing the community together – families, dogs, and supporters – for a day that’s joyful but also impactful.”
Elmtree Canine Retreat’s Tom Pipkin added: “We’re proud to host the event and open our doors to the community.
“With activities for all ages, it’s a chance to celebrate dogs, enjoy time together, and support important causes.”
Tickets for adults are £3 and can be purchased online.
Children and dogs go free.
