Alan Semadeni, 39, was found in a wooded area of the park near to Gore Road Gate shortly before 10am on Saturday, August 10 last year.
Police have said it is believed that Alan was living in the park at the time of his death.
Steven Kalozois, 39, of no fixed abode, has been charged with Alan’s murder and will appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (January 21).
Kalozois is also charged with preventing the lawful and decent burial of Alan’s dead body.
Both crimes are alleged to have been committed nine days before Alan’s body was found.
When Alan’s body was discovered, Det Supt Vicky Tunstall said it will have caused local people “deep concern”.
