The London Ambulance Service was called to Upminster Road North shortly after 5pm on August 11 with reports of an incident.
A crash had occurred at the junction of the road with Berwick Pond Road.
An ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast response car were dispatched to the scene, where a man was found injured.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital as a priority.
We have contacted the Metropolitan Police for its comment.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:“We were called at 5.02pm on Monday 11 August to reports of road traffic collision at the junction of Upminster Road North and Berwick Pond Road, Rainham.
“We sent an ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast response car to the scene.
“We treated a man at the scene and took him to hospital as a priority.”
