Two Spoons Café, a neighbourhood café in Honor Oak, has been named one of the finalists to win the award for Best Café at the Mayor of Lewisham Business Awards 2025.
Lewisham Council received over than 2,200 nominations, with locals voting for their favourite businesses from finalists named across ten categories.

The café first opened in doors in September 2016 and over the years has become a fixture of the local community.
It has a 4.5-star rating on Google, with locals describing it as “homely and cosy” according to café owner Luca Cordiglieri.
The café is praised for its regular events, such as jazz and big band music evenings, and attentive staff who make both regulars and newcomers feel at home.

One Google reviewer said: “The sausage was delicious and locally sourced.
“Can’t wait to do an evening visit to try the cocktails and dinner menu.”
The morning menu features classics like a Full English and the Southern Full Breakfast, as well as its signature Pulled Pork on Plantain.

In the evenings the café takes on the feel of a New Orleans-inspired diner, serving gumbo, smoked bourbon chicken wings, drunken shrimps and frickles, with cocktails inspired by local history with names like Me Ears Are Alight, A Hole In One and Navy Lark.
The building itself dates back over a century to 1910 when it was home to piano makers and dealers the Horey brothers, and its live jazz music still reflects to the towards that era.
The café was previously named finalist of the same award back in 2023, and in 2020 it was featured in a nationwide ad campaign by Coca-Cola.

One customer described the café as a “hidden gem”, and this latest accolade highlights the recognition and popularity it has earned with local diners in the last nine years since opening.
Owner Luca Cordiglieri said: “We are incredibly grateful to our staff for the hard work and passion they put in every day, and to the people of Honor Oak for their continuous support over the last nine years.
“We’re very pleased to have reached the final, and it’s thanks to them that we’re here.”
