More than 25 applications were lodged for tree maintenance, reduction, or removal, many involving trees protected by Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs).
In Coulsdon, a crown reduction and lifting of horse chestnut trees at 8 Charles Howell Drive was proposed (ref: 25/02219/TRE).
At 38 Hillview Close in Purley, a wild service tree has been marked for felling due to its death (ref: 25/02189/TRE).
Croindene Court on Bramley Hill also submitted plans for extensive tree reductions (ref: 25/02188/TRE).
Routine pruning of lime trees along Philand Lane in Coulsdon was also included in this week’s submissions (ref: 25/02218/TRE).
Some applications cited structural concerns, with trees on Chatsworth Road (CR0) and Ryecroft Road (SW16) identified as contributing to property damage.
In addition to tree management, a steady flow of residential applications continues.
These include single-storey rear or side extensions at 375 Addiscombe Road (ref: 25/02187/HSE), 65 Chaldon Way in Coulsdon (ref: 25/02168/HSE), and 58 Northampton Road (ref: 25/01856/HSE).
Roof enlargements and dormer additions are planned for 50 Gascoigne Road (ref: 25/02138/LP), 622 Brighton Road (ref: 25/02017/LE), and 17 Steyning Close in Kenley (ref: 25/01968/LE).
Rear extensions under prior approval rules were also submitted for 9 Caterham Drive and 41 Westrow Drive (refs: 25/02212/GPDO and 25/00990/PRIEXT).
Several larger developments have also been proposed.
A 17-unit scheme at 1–3 Frederick Gardens and 98–100 Lodge Road (ref: 25/02048/FUL) and a two-storey block of nine flats at 19 Morland Avenue (ref: 25/01096/FUL) are among the week’s submissions.
On Tamworth Place, amendments to an existing mixed-use development now reflect 10 completed flats instead of the previously approved nine (ref: 25/02173/CONR).
Other submissions included prior approvals, lawful development certificates, and condition discharges for matters such as tree protection, cycle storage, and lighting.
