I popped in with a friend for dinner and from the moment we stepped through the door, the atmosphere was calm and elegant.
Think floral accents, soft lighting, and a stunning spiral staircase that draws the eye the moment you walk in.

It’s a beautiful space that manages to feel both special and comfortable at once.
We went for the Gold Standard set menu – three generous courses at £40 per person (without dessert).

The mixed starters were the standout for me.
A little bit of everything: crispy vegetable spring rolls, juicy chicken satay, soft Thai dumplings, golden butterfly prawns, and sweet corn cakes.

There was something for every mood and texture – crunchy, tender, fragrant, and full of flavour.
Next came the coconut soup – we both chose the chicken and mushroom version – and I still can’t get over how creamy and fragrant it was.

Galangal, lemongrass, shimeji mushrooms and roasted chillies made it rich without being heavy.
For mains, I stuck with a classic – the chicken green curry. It arrived perfectly balanced, with just the right level of heat.

Creamy coconut milk, tender aubergine, and those signature Thai herbs and spices all came together with long beans and bamboo shoots for a satisfying, deeply comforting dish.

Everything we tried felt authentic and carefully made – which makes sense, given Thai Square’s roots.
Since opening its first restaurant on The Strand in 1996, the group has grown into a familiar name across London, winning awards like Best Thai Restaurant in London at the World Luxury Restaurant Awards last year.

With ingredients flown in fresh from Thailand every day and over 1,000 dishes across their menus, you really do get the sense that every plate has thought and heritage behind it.
The staff were warm and welcoming throughout, with that rare mix of friendliness and attention that makes you feel looked after but never rushed.
Whether you’re popping in for a quick bite before a show or making a night of it, it works for both.
