Police were called to concern for the welfare of a woman in a property on Reynardson Road on January 13.
Officers forced their way in and found the body of 74-year-old Pepita Sarikecili, who was also known as Pepita Garcia.
Police believe that Pepita had died a month earlier and a post-mortem showed her cause of death was blunt force trauma.
Dominic Whitton, 41, of Reynardson Road, was charged on January 22 with preventing a lawful burial in connection with the investigation and remanded into custody.
On October 6, Whitton appeared at Wood Green Crown Court where he was further charged with murder and manslaughter in connection with Pepita’s death.
He denied all charges and is due to appear at Wood Green Crown Court on December 12.
