Simon Levy, 40, of Beaufoy Road, Tottenham, was charged on Sunday (September 7) with murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, intentional strangulation and two counts of rape.
He is due to appear at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday (September 8).
The charges relate to the death of 39-year-old Sheryl Wilkins, who was found unresponsive on High Road, Tottenham, at around 7.30am on Sunday, August 24.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination was inconclusive, but a murder investigation was launched.
Police said the charges also relate to a second victim, who cannot be named due to the nature of the offences.
Both victims’ families are being supported by specialist officers.
Levy was arrested on September 4 by the Met’s Specialist Crime team.
