The Metropolitan Police was called at around 1pm yesterday (December 12) to Tooting Bec Road after reports of a crash between a car and a pedestrian.
An 11-year-old girl was treated at the scene and taken to hospital.
The girl remains in a life-threatening condition.
The driver of the car was arrested and remains in custody.
Anybody with any information has been urged to call 101, quoting reference 3570/12DEC.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “At around 13:00hrs on Friday, 12 December, officers attended Tooting Bec Road, Tooting, following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
“An 11-year-old girl was treated at the scene.
“She was taken to hospital where she remains in a life-threatening condition.
“The driver of the car was arrested and taken into custody where he remains.
“Anybody with information is urged to call 101, quoting reference 3570/12DEC.”
