He was discovered in Tomlin’s Terrace after police were called at 2.20pm today (April 25) to concerns for his welfare.
Police attended with the ambulance service and the 40-year-old was taken to hospital.
His condition is not yet known.
Police have connected it to videos and pictures seen by the East London Advertiser of a heavy police presence in the Burdett Estate.
Another video showed bloody footsteps in Masjid Lane near to Stebon Primary School – 10 minutes walk from Tomlin’s Terrace.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 14:20 on Friday, 25 April regarding the concerns for the welfare of a man who appeared to be injured on Tomlin’s Terrace, E14.
“Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and took a man in his 40s to hospital, where his condition is been assessed.
“No arrests have been made at this stage.”
The London Ambulance Service was also contacted for details.
