The incident happened in Tiverton Road near Frogwell Close at 4.55am today (January 13).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended, however, the man was pronounced dead shortly after.
Four men have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.
The road was shut off by police as eyewitnesses claim “two raids” took place near the estate after the knife attack.
Part of the estate remains closed as investigations are ongoing.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “At 4.55am on Monday (January 13) officers were called to reports of a stabbing on Tiverton Road, N15. Despite a rapid response from officers, paramedics and the London Air Ambulance, a 36-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Four men have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody. There is enhanced police presence in the area and a crime scene remains in place while officers from Specialist Crime continue to investigate.”
