TikToker Dilan Kurt has paid another visit to Havering, this time bringing the controversial question to the people of Romford.
The subject does not seem to be dying down anytime soon, with the video garnering almost half a million views on the social media platform.
Arguments over the status of Romford as east London or Essex have been ongoing since the transfer of the area from the oversight of Essex County Council to London.

The Local Government Act 1963 simultaneously created Havering as the 32nd London borough.
Conservative MP for Romford Andrew Rosindell made it the subject of a recent column.
Mr Rosindell wrote that the people were given “no choice” when the change was made, and stated simply that “Havering is not London, it is Essex”.

Interviewees in the recent TikTok also butted head over the topic when asked if they believe Romford is Essex or east London.
More than half said they believe it is Essex.
Of these interviewees, some were Metropolitan Police officers with one saying: “It’s a London borough with an Essex postcode.”
Another said: “It’s a contentious issue isn’t it? It’s open to interpretation.”
