The incident happened in Thomas Road near Wallwood Street just before 10.15pm yesterday (March 11).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found two men, in their 20s, who had been stabbed.
They were rushed to hospital where their conditions were assessed as non-life threatening.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
He remains in police custody.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 10.16pm last night (11 March) to reports of a stabbing in Thomson Road, E14.
“We sent resources to the scene including an ambulance crew and an incident response officer.
“We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance in a car.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to Thomas Road, E14 at around 22:20hrs on Tuesday, 11 March to reports of an altercation.
“Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.
“Two men in their 20s were found at the scene with stab wounds. They were taken to hospital for treatment where they remain.
“A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
“He remains in custody.
