The investigation continues into the death following police being called to The Wheatsheaf pub on Kingston Road on Tuesday (December 9) at around 3.30pm.
A man in his 20s was found with injuries in an alleyway next to the pub and he was pronounced at the scene.
Road closures and cordons were in place on Kingston Road and Chessington Road last night, but these have since been lifted earlier today (December 10).
Surrey Police has said there will be an increased presence of officers in the area over the coming days.
Senior Investigating Officer, DCI Kimball Edey, said: “Our officers are working tirelessly to establish the circumstances that led to this sad death, and you will see an increased police presence in the area over the coming days as we seek to bring those responsible to justice.
“We are continuing to appeal for anyone with information that might help our investigation to come forward.”
A further appeal has been launched for people with information to come forward.
Specifically, the force would like to hear from people who were near Kingston Road between 3.20pm and 3.30pm yesterday afternoon.
DCI Edey added: “Do you have CCTV, dashcam, helmet cam, or mobile phone footage that may have captured all or part of this incident?
“Every piece of information, no matter how small, can be crucial.”
