The Trafalgar on King’s Road, Chelsea, flung open its doors to the public following a £2.4 million refurbishment.
Owned and run by Three Cheers Pub Company, headed by childhood friends Tom Peake, Mark Reynolds, and Nick Fox, it’s the first new pub to open its doors on King’s Road in more than a century.
Bringing back a mix of drinking, dining, and live entertainment to the heart of Chelsea, it’s a project that blends traditional British pub charm with a modern twist.
The Trafalgar is housed in a Grade Two listed Georgian former bank, making it an integral part of Cadogan’s Gaumount project.
Its prime position directly opposite Chelsea Town Hall on the King’s Road gives it an unmissable street presence, and the pub’s splendid pair of floor-to-ceiling arched windows provide a sneak peek into the building’s activities.
Adjacent to the Old Banking Hall, accessible through two glazed and panelled archways, The Trafalgar Dining Room is a nod to both grandeur and warmth.
The dining room pays careful attention to decor, with burgundy walls, tan leather banquette seating, and a diverse range of artwork and tapestries offering a welcoming environment for its guests.

For up to 45 guests at a time, the dining room represents an affectionate marriage of old and new.
Chef-inspired creations will tempt you under the headline of “A best of British menu”.
Going beyond standard pub fare, visitors can try a cheese and ham toastie, a scotch egg with coronation mayonnaise, and oysters by the Wright Brothers.
Starters include Irish oxtail and black truffle croquettes with Bovril mayonnaise, and mains like poached guinea fowl breast and an indulgent Suffolk Wagyu cheeseburger.
Those with a sweet tooth can try the Baby Guinness cake with Bailey’s Mascarpone or a spiced rum treacle tart.
A two-course set lunch menu is available for £22, and three courses for £27.
Weekend brunches and Sunday roasts, including their signature ale-braised beef Thor’s Hammer designed for up to six people to share, are served from 11am.
The Trafalgar’s robust wine list, cocktail menu, and selection of craft beers on tap offer something for every tipple preference.
Head downstairs to The Havannah Room for your entertainment fix.
Named after HMS Havannah, commanded by Admiral George Cadogan (the 3rd Earl Cadogan CB), this is where revellers can engage in various events.
From a weekly pub quiz to live musical sessions to burlesque shows, it provides a diverse array of entertainment options.
The highlight, however, is the award-winning Always Be Comedy club, every Thursday.
It is known for bringing on board A-list comedians such as Nish Kumar, Joel Dommett, and Sarah Keyworth.
The Trafalgar isn’t just a food and drink establishment; it’s a venue where history meets charm, a social hub that injects life into the King’s Road, and a community destination that, after more than a century, still knows how to make quenching a thirst a memorable experience.
