Sutton Grammar School, Wallington High School for Girls, and Wallington County Grammar School were all listed in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2026.
This ranking lists the UK’s highest achieving schools, and the guide is regarded as a vital resource for parents seeking top-quality education for their children.

Wallington High School for Girls ranked ninth in London and 24th nationally, while Wallington County Grammar School ranked 10th in the city and 30th in the country.
More than 2,000 schools are assessed by name, town, local authority, and postcode, with academic results at the heart of the evaluation.
Helen Davies, the editor of The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide, shed light on the education sector’s challenges and triumphs.
She said: “The educational landscape is testing – budget challenges, rising student mental health issues, special educational needs, and an increasingly uncertain future.
“But there is also so much to celebrate from the dedication of teachers who are finding ever more innovative and impactful ways to enrich their students and give them the very best start in life.”
The guide’s list of the top 10 secondary state schools in London includes five grammar schools.

Alongside Sutton Grammar School and Wallington County Grammar School, St Olave’s Grammar School, Queen Elizabeth’s School, Tiffin School and St Michael’s RC Grammar School all secured places in the top tier.
The guide also highlights standout schools across a range of categories, from primary to independent.
West London Free School was named Comprehensive School of the Year in London 2026, while Thomas Jones Primary School in Kensington and Chelsea earned Primary School of the Year in London 2026.

North London Collegiate School was recognised as Independent Secondary School of the Year in London 2026.
St Paul’s School in Barnes was further commended for its academic excellence, receiving the title of Independent Secondary School of the Year in London for Academic Excellence 2026.
According to the Parent Power league table, these honours are not random.
Awards are determined by consistent performance and editorial judgement, grounded in a strict methodology built around exam results.
