The Moon and Stars in South Street underwent a refurbishment at the start of July last year.
This included structural changes to make more room for seating, an internal reconfiguration to help make bar access easier, and all new gambling machines.
The roof terrace was also closed at this time, and unlike the rest of the pub, was not completed on the reopening date in October.

Access to the roof terrace can be had via a lift as well as two staircases.
Following the changes, 120 pub-goers can take their drinks and enjoy the views out over the town.

Pub manager Dan Griffin said: “We are delighted with the new-look roof terrace and hope that customers will enjoy the outside space for many years to come.”
Upstairs, customers will find a range of outside dining tables and chairs, as well as hi-top tables and stools.
Umbrellas have been installed to provide shelter and shade from the sun, with planters and festoon lighting adding to the atmosphere.
