The Larkshall, in Larkshall Road, welcomed back punters on Thursday (October 23) after extensive renovations to both the inside and outside of the building.
The pub, which shut on October 6, has been redesigned with modern furnishings, according to owner Young’s, while still keeping elements of its heritage.

Converted into a public house in 1982, The Larkshall sits in a part Victorian, part 16th-century farmhouse – and has retained historic features such as exposed beams, open fires and dark wood floors.

Landlord Rodney Watson said the revamp has offered the opportunity to improve the already characterful interior still further.
He told this paper: “We’re so grateful for the support we’ve had over the years and this refurbishment has given us the chance to make The Larkshall even more inviting.

“It’s still your local, just with a fresh new look and even more to enjoy.”
The Larkshall will continue to run events and activities as before, including bingo, quiz nights and festive parties.

Its menu also continues to offer pub classics made with seasonal produce, such as fish and chips, steaks and ‘pie of the day’.
