It comes after Homefire put together what it calls the ‘Cosy Pub Index’ to rank the London watering holes with fireplaces.
The ranking takes into account TripAdvisor reviews, fireplace counts, and the distance from the nearest Tube station to the pubs.
The Gun in Docklands has been named as the cosiest pub in London in the list.
Based on the assessment categories, The Gun was given a Homefire score of 91 out of 100.
The score breakdown for the pub has revealed it has a 4.2 overall rating on Tripadvisor from more than 1,200 reviews, 139 of which mentioned cosiness and fireplaces.
Nine reviews described the pub as “snug”, with two fireplaces.
The interior features dark wood, panelled walls, and a range of seating options.
According to The Gun’s website, the pub has roots in the early 18th century.

Its current name is said to have been taken from the cannon fired to mark the launch of the West India Import Docks in 1802.
A secret circular staircase with a spy-hole was used to watch out government agents by smugglers running contraband through a hidden tunnel.
The Gun also has a riverside pub garden with heaters.
