The Exchange, located at Barking Riverside, is under new management, and promises “energy, flavour, and rhythm”.
The venue, which is open daily until the end of September, is now being run by Marcel Andrew and Helen Orayinka, who are both residents of the area.

“Whether you want to relax with your family, catch up with friends, or host a celebration, The Exchange can cater to your needs and create the perfect setting no matter the occasion.”
The Exchange is located on the riverfront, a short walk from the Barking Riverside project office.
It is accessible using the EL1 and EL3 buses, the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, or the Suffragette line.

Paul Roberts, head of new business and innovation at master developer Barking Riverside Ltd, said: “We’re pleased to see The Exchange reopen its doors under such passionate and community-driven leadership.
“This space has always had huge potential to be a cultural and social anchor for the neighbourhood, and Marcel and Helen are bringing that vision to life.
“It’s exciting to have a venue that truly reflects the spirit of Barking Riverside – inclusive, creative and full of energy. We can’t wait to see people coming together here all summer long.”
