The Sun reported earlier this week that The Entertainer store in the Whitgift Centre will be closing its doors for good in a few weeks.
A clearance sale is already underway, with the retailer offering a 25 per cent discount on its products.
The Sun reported that the closure is reportedly due to the landlord’s plans to repurpose the space for the proposed redevelopment of the Whitgift Shopping Centre as part of the Croydon regeneration project.
The Entertainer is the second shop to face closure in the Whitgift Centre in the last two months, after the Boots pharmacy closed in early December 2024.
The toy shop will officially close its doors on Saturday, February 1.
