The Cranleigh, on the corner of Station Lane and Stanley Road, closed down on January 1 after almost 40 years of business after former owner Christine McKenzie announced her retirement.

The property has now been completely pulled down, with the land boundary surrounded by tall black site hoarding.
A large team of contractors was seen working on the ground, with several works vehicles and small diggers present.
It appears the current stage of the development is focused on the foundations of the site.
