Run by brothers Kobir, Shah and Mj Hussain, The Bombay first opened in Orpington in the 1980s, winning an array of awards including Editor’s Choice at The Curry Life Awards 2024.

The new Swanley venue will be marked with an opening celebration, with the venue’s booking system “inundated” with requests, leading to the event selling out within hours.

According to Hussain, the new restaurant “places a strong emphasis on creating a memorable dining experience, ensuring that every guest feels like a VIP.”

The new business, which will be able to seat up to 96 people, also features a bar area serving a range of drinks including cocktails.
Hussain added: “Staff members are extensively trained to provide not only exceptional service but also a deep understanding of the culture of Indian hospitality, delivering an experience that’s both luxurious and rooted in tradition.”
