Thames Water issued an update on a burst pipe in Inverness Drive this morning (August 1) at 9.49am.
It said: “Our team has been on site at Inverness Drive for some time now, working to repair a complicated burst pipe.
“Due to the nature and location of the burst, the repair is more challenging than usual.
“We’ve drained the standing water and have begun excavation, which is needed before we can access and fix the damaged section of pipe.
“Given the complexity, we expect these works to continue through the weekend.”

Thames Water confirmed that water has been successfully diverted around the affected area, so the supply should now be restored.
However, it said households may notice lower pressure until the repair is fully completed.
“We know how disruptive it is to lose water,” it added.
“We’re doing everything we can to get things back to normal as safely and quickly as possible.
“We’ll continue to keep you updated as the work progresses.
“Thank you for your continued patience, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience.”
