If you rely on buses, make sure to take note of these updates, which include adjustments to service frequencies, temporary timetables due to ongoing roadworks, and changes to first and last bus timings on select routes.
As one of the world’s largest bus networks, TfL operates over 9,000 buses across 700 routes.
The service offers a flat fare of £1.75, with unlimited travel within one hour through the Hopper fare.
Accessibility and sustainability are key priorities, with many wheelchair-accessible buses and an increasing number of electric and hybrid vehicles, aiming for a zero-emission fleet by 2034.
The following changes will take place from Saturday March 22, 2025.
- A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 7 widening the frequency of the service to every 13 minutes at all times on all days of the week. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability during works in the East Acton area.
- Route 40 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.
- A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 95 widening the frequency of the service to every 14 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability during works in the East Acton area.
- Route 105 will have a new timetable on all days and nights of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.
- Route 154 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency widened to every 11 minutes during the daytime and every 16 minutes during the evenings on Monday to Saturdays. No change on Sundays.
- Route 169 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. On Sundays the early morning frequency will increase to every 20 minutes before 8am. No change at any other time. When buses arrive at Barking Town Centre buses will now continue beyond bus stop M on to bus stop F at North Street to terminate. No change towards Clayhall.
- Route 247 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
- A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 260 widening the frequency of the service to every 13 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 16 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability during works in the East Acton area.
- A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 274 widening the frequency of the service to every 13 minutes at all times on all days of the week except during the daytime on Saturdays when it will be widened to every 11 minutes. The temporary timetable will be in place to help with reliability due to various works along the route.
- Route 287 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.
- Route 482 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. The early morning frequency will increase to every 20 minutes before 0700 on Monday to Fridays and 8am on Saturdays. On Sundays the frequency will be increased to a bus every 20 minutes from first bus until 7pm.
- Route C10 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
- Route U5 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
