The disruption is due to a combination of major events and planned roadworks, with Transport for London (TfL) urging passengers to plan ahead.
Events between Thursday, January 15 and Sunday, January 18, are expected to cause delays, with buses possibly diverted, delayed or terminating early, particularly around key venues.
Among the locations hosting major events are Olympia London, ExCeL Arena, Alexandra Palace and Hammersmith Apollo.
Other affected venues include Royal Albert Hall, O2 Brixton Academy and Wembley Arena.
Football stadiums such as Vicarage Road, Stamford Bridge and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will also see increased traffic and potential road closures on match days.
TfL warns that “increased footfall and traffic levels are expected before and after each event, with some venues implementing local road closures to safely manage pedestrian and vehicle movements.”
In addition to event-related disruption, ongoing roadworks are affecting travel on Marylebone Road until Friday, January 16.
The works have reduced the road to two lanes in each direction between Lisson Grove and Wyndham Street and Harewood Lane is down to one southbound lane.
From Monday, January 19, until February 21, there will be no vehicle access to Marylebone Road from Enford Street as part of works to deliver Cycleway 51.
Further disruption is expected in Kensington on Monday, January 19, where Kensington Gore will be closed from 7am to 7pm for filming.
Waterloo Road will also be closed to southbound traffic from 10am on January 19 for approximately four weeks, between the Waterloo Road Roundabout and Westminster Bridge Road.
This closure is due to utilities work by SGN and a signed diversion will be in place.
TfL advises all travellers to “Plan ahead, allow more time for your journey and check before you travel.”
